Large array of art waiting to be explored around Algarve villas

Brits who consider themselves big fans of art are in for a treat if they head to villas in the Algarve in the coming months.

The popular Portuguese resort is currently hosting the Arte Algarve Open III, in which a wide array of exhibits can be glimpsed.

Based inside the Galeria Arte Algarve - deemed the largest art gallery across the Portuguese district - the venue is easy to access due to being within a short distance of Lagoa's bus station.

The exhibition is being put on by Arte Algarve and features a collection of sculptures, paintings and ceramics from 31 renowned artists.

Furthermore, people who head along to the free attraction, which is open until April 7th, also have the chance to chat with the artists behind the works.

Those taking last minute flights to Algarve villas may also want to check out the Annual International Gourmet Festival, which is open until Sunday (January 22nd) and features dishes from 20 top Michelin-starred chefs.
