Those taking up the opportunity to visit Algarve villas during the winter season may want to visit the region's Aquashow water park to witness a special treat.
Quarteira's huge water park will be opening a 325 sq m ice skating rink for the public to use in the weeks ahead.
The Portugal News reported that the announcement means that it will be the first time that the attraction has made use of this wintry facility.
Parents and children will both be able to access the new ice skating rink, which will be open between 11am and 4pm local time each day.
Tourists may also be pleased to hear that the attraction is to be included in the price of a ticket to the Aquashow water park, while monitors will provide guidance to inexperienced skaters.
People who make the trip to this attraction while occupying villas in the Algarve can also enjoy a wide array of thrilling water slides during their stay, with a buffet restaurant providing a perfect end to a day out.
