Holiday makers 'can reach Algarve villa with BA'
British tourists mulling over the prospect of a sunshine holiday in the Algarve next summer will find they may be able to reach the destination particularly easily by flying with British Airways (BA) from London City Airport.
The national flag carrier has announced it is to launch a new service between the English capital and Faro, in the south of Portugal.
From June 7th next year, flights will link the locations three times a week – perhaps providing the simplest option for those living in London and looking forward to a break at an Algarve villa.
Luke Hayhoe, commercial manager at BA CityFlyer, says: "Spain and Portugal have long since been favourite summer destinations for many British holiday makers and the ... Algarve [is] perfect for golf holidays and those looking for sandy beaches."
Carhiremarket.com recently suggested borrowing a vehicle while in southern Portugal is a good move, as it allows tourists to explore more of the fascinating region.
