Have a spa-tacular Algarve holiday

Those planning a break abroad and hoping to indulge in some total relaxation could book an Algarve holiday.

According to OK! magazine, the southern Portuguese coastline is home to numerous spas where tourists can enjoy some true pampering.

This could appeal to women whose partners are keen golfers, as they can spend time in the spa while their other halves take to the greens.

The Algarve could also be a great place to take a "spa-tacular" girly holiday with a group of friends, the publication adds.

Numerous treatments are available throughout the region, including a Vichy Shower and a chocolate and honey massage.

"OK! was encouraged to try the Waterfall Showers Experience - where our bodies were first hit by a Caribbean blast of mint-scented hot steam and heavy droplets of rain, before a Siberian storm descended and our body was pummelled with water jets coming from all directions," the magazine states.

The Parque da Floresta Leisure Resort, where Algarve holiday makers can rent their own villas, has its own spa where visitors can enjoy treatments such as floorstone therapy, luxury manicures and skin resonance facials.
