Keen golfers have been advised they should head to the Algarve for a holiday at this time of year if they are to get the most for their money.
Skyscanner, the flights comparison site, identifies Faro – located in the heart of southern Portugal – as one of its top three bargain destinations of the week.
Indeed, it says travel is now available to the city from the UK from as little as £45 return.
It notes golfers may want to work on their swing before the UK golfing season gets fully underway in the spring.
"Coupled with spectacular beaches, luxurious shopping malls and gourmet food, Faro is the ideal destination for an indulgent February break," the website writes.
This is in addition to it being "Europe's golfing epicentre" with a host of top-class courses, all to be played under the Mediterranean sun.
According to the latest Post Office Holiday Money Report, Portugal is the best value destination for a vacation at the moment.
