Golf competition on offer for those in Algarve villas

People who take up last-minute trips to villas in the Algarve may be able to catch the excitement of a golf competition which is coming to the Portuguese hot spot.

This Saturday (September 24th), will see the freshly-designed course of Palmares, located close to Lagos, hosting a PowerPlay Golf Event.

Members of the establishment are free to join in the festivities, as well as any of their guests or anyone just looking to take in a host of exciting holes.

The competition is split between nine holes on either the Alvor or Lagos course on the morning, followed by another nine holes at Praia.

Participants will also be able to take in a barbecue-themed lunch on the terrace of the Palmares course, while enjoying refreshing drinks during rest periods in the venue's clubhouse.

Golf fans have plenty of other attractions to choose from to sample the sport after booking up Algarve villas.

This includes the Jack Nicklaus signature course of Monte Rei, in Vila Nova de Cacela, as well as the Quinta do Vale, which boasts 18 holes to enjoy.
