Fundraising event to be held in the Algarve

Families journeying to villas in the Algarve in the coming weeks have been urged to do their bit for a charity organisation in the region.

SOS Algarve Animals will be holding a fundraiser benefit in the Portuguese resort of Quinta do Lago, in Almancil, on October 7th.

The event can be attended at the Algarve location's shopping centre, as well as the Melting Pot venue, between 18:00 and 21:00 local time.

Tickets for the benefit are just £13, including a dinner and complementary drink, while music and games will be put on to entertain guests.

People will also gain free entry into a raffle for each ticket they buy, with the grand prize being four gold debenture tickets at Wembley for any game either this year or in 2012.

SOS Algarve Animals is a not-for-profit group which aims to guarantee the rehoming and welfare of abandoned cats and dogs across the Portuguese holiday hot spot.
