Enjoy championship-class golf on holiday in Algarve

Golfers searching for their next challenge may find all they require on holiday in the Algarve.

A report by Sky Sports explains the six courses operated by Oceanico Group in the region are among the best, including the high-class Amendoeira resort.

Located about half an hour from Faro Airport in Silves, the courses are set in a 640-acre plot and have, in some cases, been designed by the likes of Nick Faldo and Christy O'Connor Jr.

And if those on holiday in the Algarve do not feel up to the challenge of taking on a professional-standard circuit, there are also facilities for players to practice their driving and putting.

The news source notes it is not only the quality of the golfing complexes but also the beautiful weather all-year round that attracts visitors to the area.

According to a report by the Daily Telegraph recently, budget airline Monarch is offering a range of bargain deals for tourists to fly to the Algarve this winter.
