Decide on Algarve holiday at London exhibition

Foodies thinking of booking a holiday in Portugal in order to enjoy a taste of the country's finest dishes and top beverages may be wise to attend an event in central London next month.

Turismo De Portugal is running a stand at the World Travel Market, due to take place at the Excel Centre on November 8th, to offer an insight into the country's most popular food.

Visitors are invited to be educated on the history and traditions of Portugese cuisine, including the trademarks of the Algarve region in the south of the nation.

Jose Bento dos Santos, Portugal's top gastronomic connoisseur, will be on hand to offer his thoughts and there will be the chance to taste some of the dishes that can be found by those who holiday in the Algarve.

An article in TNT magazine recently praised the food and drink of the Canary Islands, which is largely based around seafood.
