Book villas in the Algarve to see award-wining marina

Holiday makers who are opting to spend some nights in Algarve villas may want to pay a visit to the award-winning Vilamoura Marina.

The site was honoured with the prize of Best Marina in Portugal at the recent BTL Portugal Trade Awards 2011 ceremony.

SuperYachtTimes.com reported that the accolade was given to the Vilamoura Marina in recognition of its services and quality, while also being an integral part of the private town and the Algarve as a whole.

Tourists who pay the marina a visit when booking up holiday villas in the region will be able to indulge in a wealth of food and drink choices via a range of restaurants, cafes and waterside bars.

The location features general stores, traditional handicraft shops and boutiques, supermarkets and banks too, so many aspects will be covered.

Vilamoura itself could be the ideal resort for families seeking some sport pursuits when abroad, with the town having access to swimming, lawn bowling, tennis, golf and shooting activities, just to name a few.
