Book villa in the Algarve for Michelin star-quality food
People who make a last-minute booking for a villa in the Algarve still have time to sample the cuisine produced by a host of Michelin star chefs.
The Portugal News reports Vila Joya – the only establishment in the country with two of the prestigious industry awards to its name – is welcoming food experts from around the country for a special festival.
Between today (January 14th) and January 23rd, the eatery will be hosting its annual Tribute to Claudia event, featuring gourmet dining.
Austrian Dieter Koschina, the regular chef at Vila Joya, will be joined by 12 others, with each taking it in turns to serve their own menu each night, the news provider explains.
And before the beautiful meals are served up, tourists can relax in their Algarve villas or explore the picturesque beaches and countryside that is symbolic of the area.
Cian Nihill, author of a travel piece for the Irish Times, recently recommended the town of Estoril as a place people in the south of Portugal should visit.
