Anne Frank exhibition could interest Albufeira villa guests
Holiday makers staying in Albufeira villas this month might be interested in visiting an acclaimed exhibition in the city.
A display entitled Anne Frank - A History for Today is currently showing at Albufeira's town hall.
It was opened at the venue on May 5th to mark the date of the liberation of Holland during World War II, the Algarve Resident reports.
Anne Frank is famous for the diary she kept while she and her family hid from the Nazis during the war.
The diary was published in 1947 and is now one of the most translated books in the world.
People staying in Albufeira villas during an Algarve holiday this month can pay a visit to the exhibition to learn more about Anne's story and World War II.
Coordinated by the Anne Frank House museum in Amsterdam, the exhibition on show in Portugal is a touring display that has travelled all over the world.
It is presented more than 150 times per year and will visit cities such as Wellington, Sao Paulo and Jerusalem in 2010.
