Press reports have indicated that Hollywood superstar Angelina Jolie and her famous husband Brad Pitt are house hunting in the region.

An insider said: "She loves Portugal and wants to raise her kids there"

"She's looking in a quaint village called Lagos. She wants to move there as soon as possible."

Holiday makers can rent a villa in Lagos and see what all the fuss is about.

The seafaring town boasts 16th century walls that give the feeling of getting away from it all, which enables those who stay here to relax and concentrate on topping up their tan in peace and quiet.

A museum and marina can also be found here, along with a gilded church and interesting fort - so there are plenty of things to keep people occupied on their Algarve holiday.

Meanwhile, beach lovers can sprawl out on five kilometres of golden sands.
