Algarve villa occupants urged to visit Paderne
Families who are heading out to villas in the Algarve for a last-minute getaway may want to take a trip to Paderne during their stay.
This is because the Portuguese resort's Galeria Corte-Real is preparing to showcase the work of in-demand painter Christopher Rainham.
Such an exhibition will be the first time that the artist, who has been shortlisted for the sought after John Moore Art Award in the past, has had his designs shown off in Portugal.
The event, entitled Cheeky Chirpies, will be present in Paderne between August 20th and 21st, with pictures detailing the expressions and body language given off by birds in the wild.
Commenting on his work, Mr Rainham says: "I like to paint the things that inspire me in order to inspire others."
Brits will find plenty more to entertain them if they head to Paderne this summer, with the village just a short drive from Albufeira.
Some of the attractive sights to seek out in the area include the Paderne Castle, the Paderne Spring and its church that dates back to the 1500s.
