Algarve villa occupants urged 'avoid cheap travel insurance'
Low-priced travel insurance documents may be best avoided by holiday makers who are venturing abroad this summer, perhaps to villas in the Algarve.
This is the advice given by Stuart Bensusan, co-founder and head of sales for Essential Travel, who noted that "cheap is never best" in this regard.
Instead, the expert recommended that Brits look past the price of a travel insurance policy and look into just what is provided as cover.
"You have to make sure that you have sufficient cover, but not just medical, baggage and cancellation, also sports cover, the level of excess is not too high, how many claims can you make on a policy," Mr Bensusan explained.
Families who are flying out to Algarve villas will want to make sure that their journey is experienced without a hitch.
This is because the Portuguese destination is home to such entertaining resorts as Portimao, Lagos, Faro and Albufeira, all of which bask in average summer temperature highs of 29 degrees C.
