Grab yourself a late deal >Algarve named as best value for money golf destination
People who would like to show off their skills on a golf course while enjoying a getaway have been urged to snap up villas in the Algarve.
The popular Portuguese destination has been honoured by the readers of British magazine Today's Golfer.
For one, the Algarve was voted to offer the best value for money as a golf destination anywhere around Europe, receiving 32 per cent of the vote.
Holiday makers have also been encouraged to visit Vilamoura's Oceanico Old Course to enjoy this sport, after it was named the Best Golf Course in Portugal by Today's Golfer readers.
Antonio Pina, the president of the Algarve Regional Tourism Board, commented: "We are very proud to receive the news that the Algarve was once again chosen for the quality of its golf product, especially as it is an award attributed by a publication in the UK, which continues to be our main tourist market."
The Algarve has a variety of golf courses available at appealing prices all across the region, including the Quinta de Lago resorts in Almancil and Portimao's Penina Resort.
