Algarve holiday 'offers high-quality food and gorgeous beaches'

One tourist has spoken out about the high standard of cuisine people who holiday in the Algarve can expect to enjoy, as well as the provision of beautiful beaches in the area.

Hannah Neville Green, writing to the Daily Telegraph, explains she took a break in the south of Portugal while she was a student.

Despite being on a budget, she notes the quality of food and drink she tucked into on a daily basis was excellent.

In particular, she recalls the experience of visiting Burgau was a tremendous highlight of the trip.

"I can highly recommend the beach bar for its seafood, views and mojitos, but the foodie highlight was the sea bass from a restaurant overlooking the beach called The Shack," Ms Neville Green states.

British Airways announced recently it is to launch a new service from London City Airport to Faro in order to transport people to their Algarve holiday from next June.
