Albufeira 'an ideal visit' when booking up Algarve villas
An excursion to the old town of Albufeira has been suggested for Brits seeking out a stay in Algarve villas.
Travelbite.co.uk gave the location the thumbs up, with one of its writers noting that it offers "bustling markets, beautiful churches, historic monuments and enviable beaches".
When it comes to choosing what to visit while in Albufeira, the main marketplace of Calicos could be an ideal location for those hoping to buy some souvenirs.
Miniature houses, mats styled in natural materials and painted tiles are just a few items usually on sale here, according to the new source's writer.
Once all the shopping has been brought in, families will be able to tuck into a variety of traditional Portuguese food while at the destination.
"Grilled sardines, figs and sweet eggs are … widely available, making it a perfect place to stop for a quick lunch," the travel expert pointed out.
Recently, Martina Kerk, the product manager of Sun & Sea, Algarve Promotion Bureau, sold the idea of staying in villas in the Algarve by acknowledging that the destination basks in average temperatures of 20 degrees C.
