"Soak away your worries" on an Algarve holiday
Whatsonwhen says that the baths - also known as Calda De Monchique - can be found somewhere between the blue Iberian sky and the green impressive mountains.
The site says it is the "perfect place to soak away your worries" as holiday makers can let the "rejuvenating waters work their magic".
A wide range of treatments are available at the spa that uses the local mineral-rich water - believed to have healing properties since the Romans first bathed here.
The surrounding areas in the Algarve boast a number of unspoilt picturesque villages neatly nestled in the hilltops, including Estoi.
Estoi is also thought to be the home of the very first villa built by the Romans, many of whom probably bathed in the thermal baths, but back in those times they did not come equipped with private pools, microwaves, DVD players and all manner of modern conveniences.
