'Dream golf course' created in the Algarve

Quinta do Lago's four great golf courses means 72 holes, but Kenny Fairbairn, Domingos Gomes Silva, Rogerio Valente and Antonio Santos have created a fantasy 18 holes made up of their own favourites.

They start with the first hole in San Lorenzo and finish with the same course's 18th, which they describe as "undoubtedly one of the best finishing holes in the world of golf".

Along the way they select "beautiful but cruel" holes from Pinheiros Altos and "one of the most photographed holes in golf" in the 15th at Quinta do Lago.

The Monte da Quinta Club Golf and Beach resort can be found right in the heart of the Algarve's most exclusive holiday destination and anyone who rents a villa here can try all 72 holes for themselves to see if they agree with the professionals.
