Amendoeira boasts two championship courses as well as fantastic academy facilities. The first course, designed by Nick Faldo with strategic play in mind, demands careful positioning to score well, rocky outcrops, meandering watercourses and views to the distant mountains and orange groves defining its essential character. In a modern twist there are cacti and wild herbs, spartan Holm oaks and ancient olive trees and desert scrub bunkers of crushed limestone on a golf course that revels in the classic principles of strategic play. The second course, designed by O'Connor Junior, perfectly complementing the Faldo Course, whilst taking advantage of the rich valley soil in contrast to the arid hillside, offering no less of a challenge. Large areas of water demand accurate play and creative shot making, and these lakes and streams are maintained as a wildlife sanctuary.

The 9 hole Academy Course located between the Oceânico Faldo and the Oceânico O´Connor courses and is ideally suited to beginners and those who wish to sharpen up their short game. It has been built to the same high standards as the Oceânico Faldo and Oceânico O´Connor Courses. Three teeing options vary the line of play into each hole and maximize every hazard designed into the green complex. Amendoeira offers complimentary golf buggy hire.

There are six 'Savannah' tennis courts at Amendoeira, the two main courts also being floodlit. There is also a Jonathon Markson Tennis Academy for those looking to brush up on their tennis skills whilst on holiday. Equipment can be hired in resort.

Amendoeira offers a soccer school for boys and girls aged between 6 - 15 years, open only in the school holidays.

The Amendoeira Sports Club offers a full range of sport and fitness facilities all finished to the highest specification to meet professional standards. It offers a full size natural grass pitch for football/gaelic football/rugby, two astroturf five-a-side football pitches to FIFA standards, Beach Football/Volley Ball, Cricket, a jogging track, in addition to the golf, tennis and gym at Amendoeira.

Furthermore, why not play a game of bowls at Amendoeira Bowls Club which has two natural grass greens for lawn bowls (one flat & one crown) as well as a bowls pavilion for score keepers. The Sports Club centre also benefits from male and female changing rooms with lockers and a bar/cafe to enjoy a refreshing drink.

The Club house serves hot and cold food throughout the day and has magnificent views across the golf course. Alternatively, guests can enjoy a drink at the Sports Club bar.

Amendoeira benefits from two outdoor communal swimming pools which are heated throughout the winter months, and have sunloungers and parasols.
