Just a few miles inland from the coast, the picturesque old Roman town of Pollensa offers a traditional Mallorcan experience. Wander around its narrow cobbled streets, discover crafts and clothes shops and join in the relaxed café life - Spanish style. You can purchase fruit, vegetables, cheese and olives direct from the farmers at the Sunday market, which is located on the Placa Major and the maze of little streets leading up to the Calvari steps. "Our holiday was fantastic - we do feel that the local info provided in the villa could have been much better - such as a local map, directions to nearest supermarkets, local restaurants etc - we took out 18 month son, which limited our ability to explore and were therefore more reliant on such info. Loved the villa though and were happy to survive on bbqs! "
