Seguer Gran is a beautifully restored contemporary-style farmhouse located in lovely countryside a short drive from the resort of Alcúdia. Set amid peaceful countryside just a few kilometres from the bustling resort of Alcúdia, Segurer Gran offers a wonderfully contemporary twist on the traditional Hispanic farmhouse. Cleverly restored using natural stone, polished timber and an abundance of glass, this stunning property is now a fabulous retreat sleeping up to six guests.

From the villa’s gravel driveway an impressive entrance opens onto a vast double-height hallway and lounge, a striking modern staircase winding up to a glass mezzanine floor that allows light to flood right through the building. Eye-catching artworks hang on the lofty whitewashed walls in the lounge where two sets of patio doors open onto the poolside terrace. A second lounge area offers a flat screen TV, DVD player and a giant fireplace for cooler evenings.

The three en suite bedrooms are simply yet elegantly furnished with traditional dark wood, two boasting four-poster beds and all with stunning timber flooring. The en suite shower rooms are immaculately presented, with high quality modern fittings and honey-coloured stone and mosaic tiling. The master suite also has a wonderful free-standing bath for those in search of a little pampering and French doors opening onto a patio overlooking the rear garden.

Huge glass doors lead from the hallway into a magnificent kitchen where would-be chefs will relish the state-of-the art fittings and fabulous central island. Dark wood units contrast beautifully with the industrial-style fan, stainless steel American fridge/freezer and pale stone tiles. There’s a dining suite in the kitchen or guests can enjoy meals alfresco on the covered terrace outside.

Around the house, the landscaped gardens flourish with lush palm trees and vibrant bougainvillea, with attractive lawns running either side of the breathtaking infinity pool. Built to make the most of the panoramic views, the pool has a striking fountain at one end and a timber deck from which to soak up the glorious sunshine.

Both Alcúdia and Pollença are within a short drive of this lovely property, offering plenty of opportunities to sample great restaurants, bars and nightlife as and when you wish. A number of beautiful beaches are also easily accessible, including the long stretch of fine white sand in Alcúdia itself.

Seguer Gran is a wonderful villa, particularly suited to families with older children or friends holidaying together.
