One of the prettiest resorts on the island, Agios Nikitas is a beautiful area of steep hills and valleys covered in pine and olive trees, which lead down to wonderful beaches and crystal clear seas. Agios Nikitas is the only village at sea level on the rugged west coast and has just one main street lined with traditional old tavernas, bars and shops. Neighbouring Milos beach is a scramble over the headland or a sea taxi ride away, while nearby Kathizma offers two kilometres of pure golden sands. "villa athina was just wonderful. we felt it lacked in egg cups and a working cork screw and could do with a new floor brush as the handle was broken. it would also have been useful to have some salt rather than have to buy it, and oil? these small things apart it was fantastic and very sad to to leave. "
