In the main holiday resort of Lanzarote, Puerto del Carmen is just five kilometres from the island’s capital town Arrecife. A wide, sandy beach, little rocky coves and a diving school line the coastline, while a great selection of restaurants, bars and cafés can be found at the harbour. Live entertainment, cocktail bars and night-clubs, as well as restaurants and café bars, are all positioned along a central avenue. Of our wide selection of villas here, some are nestled in the peaceful area of Los Mojones - a short walk from the harbour – with others set much closer to the main resort in residential areas. "The layout of this villa is perfect for those with young kids - the pool is in the 'back yard' behind a separate gate...so you can have the kids in the front without worrying abut them falling/jumping into the pool with no adults around! We loved it!
We also can't fault the service provided by the James reps and the villa owner himself. When we arrived the dvd player didn't work...turns out the occupants the previous week had broken quite a few things. However, a quick mention to our reps and the owner turned up in less than 2 hours with a brand new one. There was also a problem with the satellite tv...the owner arranged for the the satellite company to come out & fix it - all by the first afternoon of our stay.
Would definitely recommend this villa... "

"We had a fantastic stay at this villa during the Icelandic volcano incident. The pool and general layout of the villa was superb. It took about 10 minutes to walk down to the strip where all the shops, restaurants and beach was. "

"Overall we were extremely happy with the villa but we had 2 minor issues. One would be the bed linen which was of the cheaper nylon type. You might suggest to the owners that they invest in good quality cotton bed linen which is much more comfortable to sleep on and also better in hot weather. Also we were unable to work the DVD player and couldn't locate any instructions. Again it might be worth making instructions available. "

"Swimming pool was quite cold, took a little while to get used to the temperature, got out after 15 minutes or so because I felt too cold! the villa in general was lovely, large living area with very nice furnishings, always felt secure, the owner next door was exceptionally helpful and friendly, even when it came to helping us get a barbecue started!
We are seriously considering rebooking this villa next year, we fell in love with it and the island. "
