Resort: Playa Blanca in Lanzarote
A pretty, bustling resort with a sandy beach and popular promenade, Playa Blanca is the most southerly resort on the Island of Lanzarote and is only 15 kilometres from the Timanfaya National Park. There are four stretches of shoreline, and close by is the nature reserve of Papagayo which hosts the best beaches on the island. The resort has a large harbour shared by fishing boats and ferries that take you to Fuerteventura. Take a water taxi from central Playa Blanca to the Marina Rubicon; home to smart yachts moored in a private marina. Pavement cafés and good seafood restaurants offer a relaxing atmosphere in which to unwind in the evening. "A lovely villa - the photo's probably don't do the pool justice as the garden was more spacious than we'd expected. Our main concern about the holiday was that the pool would be too cold - we've been to hotels in Lanzarote before and the pools have been freezing. However it turns out that James Villa pools are heated until the end of May and it was lovely. As mentioned in a previous review, the floor fans really do need changing - there were only 2 in the property and only one worked effectively. The location was great for walking into the centre - about 10 minutes away. However if you want total peace & quiet, bear in mind there is some noise from a nearby complex - it was just occasional music and was fine as our children quite enjoyed it, but suffice to say that it was loud enough for us to be able to join in the pop quiz every morning! "

"We love this villa and have stayed there Twice already.Very Clean too.Our only complaint would be that the floor fans need changing.The villa was really hot at night and the fans were rubbish as they were very old.The pool is perfect,very large ,advisory if you have small children tho, the pool shallow end is about 5ft deep. "
