Resort: Playa Blanca in Lanzarote
A pretty, bustling resort with a sandy beach and popular promenade, Playa Blanca is the most southerly resort on the Island of Lanzarote and is only 15 kilometres from the Timanfaya National Park. There are four stretches of shoreline, and close by is the nature reserve of Papagayo which hosts the best beaches on the island. The resort has a large harbour shared by fishing boats and ferries that take you to Fuerteventura. Take a water taxi from central Playa Blanca to the Marina Rubicon; home to smart yachts moored in a private marina. Pavement cafés and good seafood restaurants offer a relaxing atmosphere in which to unwind in the evening. "The Casa Con Vista is a very nice, well kept 3 bedroom villa with everything we needed to have a great holiday. The pool was also very well maintained and being heated meant we could enjoy it all the more. The villa's location is a little way from the town but certainly walkable, however, if you're having to bring back a lot of shopping, a car is a good idea. All in all we had a great time and we'd certainly return for another holiday there. "
