Resort: Playa Blanca in Lanzarote
A pretty, bustling resort with a sandy beach and popular promenade, Playa Blanca is the most southerly resort on the Island of Lanzarote and is only 15 kilometres from the Timanfaya National Park. There are four stretches of shoreline, and close by is the nature reserve of Papagayo which hosts the best beaches on the island. The resort has a large harbour shared by fishing boats and ferries that take you to Fuerteventura. Take a water taxi from central Playa Blanca to the Marina Rubicon; home to smart yachts moored in a private marina. Pavement cafés and good seafood restaurants offer a relaxing atmosphere in which to unwind in the evening. "This was the first time we had booked a villa holiday, and wondered how the experience would compare to a traditional hotel stay booked through a tour operator, well, let me tell you, from the initial booking made online, through to us dropping the hire car back off at the airport, James Villas ensured we had all the information we needed to feel at ease with our choice, the Villa was just as described on the website, the car hire was a doddle, and finding the villa when we arrived, aswell as touring the area were made easy, we had a wonderfully relaxing holiday, I would definately book a villa again with James Villas.
