Resort: Playa Blanca in Lanzarote
A pretty, bustling resort with a sandy beach and popular promenade, Playa Blanca is the most southerly resort on the Island of Lanzarote and is only 15 kilometres from the Timanfaya National Park. There are four stretches of shoreline, and close by is the nature reserve of Papagayo which hosts the best beaches on the island. The resort has a large harbour shared by fishing boats and ferries that take you to Fuerteventura. Take a water taxi from central Playa Blanca to the Marina Rubicon; home to smart yachts moored in a private marina. Pavement cafés and good seafood restaurants offer a relaxing atmosphere in which to unwind in the evening. "Very, very good holiday, overall and intend to book two weeks (probably)a bit later on this year, in same resort. Villa very good and excellent (high) pool temperature (had problems with too low pool temperatures, previously). Original (convenient) flights booked were changed by the airline, whose computers crashed and flight delayed by 2hrs (fortunately we were at front of queue, for once!). Error made on seat allocation on return journey (window requested). "

"I have actually already sent an email to the lady who helped us book the villa - Travel Adviser, she was fantastic, helped us find the right villa and was able to describe the area - Excellent Customer Service - it was only because of her attitude,help and understanding we booked the villa - sadly you were unable to compete on flights - but nevertheless we had an excellent holiday (Lanzarote, Playa Blanca) "
