Resort: Playa Blanca in Lanzarote
A pretty, bustling resort with a sandy beach and popular promenade, Playa Blanca is the most southerly resort on the Island of Lanzarote and is only 15 kilometres from the Timanfaya National Park. There are four stretches of shoreline, and close by is the nature reserve of Papagayo which hosts the best beaches on the island. The resort has a large harbour shared by fishing boats and ferries that take you to Fuerteventura. Take a water taxi from central Playa Blanca to the Marina Rubicon; home to smart yachts moored in a private marina. Pavement cafés and good seafood restaurants offer a relaxing atmosphere in which to unwind in the evening. The resort is host to several markets throughout the week offering local handicrafts.
"This was a very nice villa in a quiet residental area, the location is quite a long way out of the resort and there is a lack of facilities in the area but there is talk of a supermarket and bar/restaurant being built in the area.
It is a 30 min walk in to the resort so a car is a must. "

"The villa was great but I would not go to Lanzarote again, simply because I feel we've done as nuch as there is to do there. it was a great winter sun break but the island is quite limited. "
