This lovely stone house has been fully restored by the current owner, and is a delightful place to stay. The interior is welcoming, and the new pool and terrace are modern, well positioned and sunny. Les Heures Claires benefits from an exterior games room, including table tennis, a billiards table and table football. The village itself has won recent local awards for best in the region, and is pretty, tranquil and typical of the area, ideal for strolling around. Shops and facilities are just a short drive away.

The ancient town of Melle is characterised by its traditional buildings and retains an authentic French atmosphere. The town is great for absorbing the laid-back rural way of life, and the weekly market is well-worth a visit to meet the locals and to try some of the delicious local cheeses, meats and vegetables. A variety of facilities are located within the town, including two supermarkets. The surrounding area boasts beautiful countryside and forests, interspersed with many impressive Romanesque châteaux, perfect for a day out exploring.
