Resort: Lourdas in Kefalonia
The small, secluded resort of Lourdas lies on a steep hill below rugged Mount Aenos, with stunning views out to the sea and over to Zakynthos. The centre of the resort is the village of Lourdata, where typical cafes and tavernas line the picturesque, shady square. From here, you take the steep, winding road down to the lovely beach – one of the longest on the south coast of Kefalonia – where sand and pebbles lead into clear turquoise waters. If you fancy exploring, you can take a stroll along the coast to neighbouring beaches, or a boat trip to the islands of Ithaca and Zakynthos.

"Although we weren't expecting the villa to be so far out of Lourdas, there were a few very nice tavernas within walking distance, so we were very satisfied. "
Mrs Peel, , May 2010
"The villa had amazing views, particularly of the mountain and it was in the ideal location for us as we had stayed in the resort before. "
