Resort: Calpe in Costa Blanca
Calpe is a popular, bustling resort, best known for its balance of historic Valencian culture and modern tourist facilities. Three glorious sandy Blue Flag beaches are divided by the dramatic, craggy height of the Peñón de Ifach rock which stands over 300 metres tall and can be seen for miles, providing a fantastic landmark up and down the coast. On one side is the harbour with its fantastic choice of restaurants, while on the other is the resort centre filled with shops, bars and array of night-time entertainment. Calpe is ideally positioned in the centre of the Costa Blanca’s coastline, making it an ideal base for exploring the delights of this part of Spain, whether it is countryside, architecture, water parks or beaches you seek! "This was our first visit to a Villa and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The facilities that were available were far above what we expected.
The only downside was being delayed on the way home, it was however through no fault of the airline, it was due to a passenger being taken ill. Alicante Airport did not however update passangers we were just left wondering whether the flight would turn up! "
