This charming traditional Andalucian style villa enjoys a peaceful location in the 'Honey River' National Park, only a 10 minute drive from Nerja and ideal for those wanting a complete 'get away from it all' relaxing holiday. The villa is well appointed in local style and provides comfortable, spacious accommodation all on one level. Outside there is a large brick built barbecue where you can dine al fresco and as the villa is positioned to look down the valley, you will be able to enjoy spectacular sunsets, an array of birdlife and breathtaking views of the mountains.

Resort: Rio de la Miel in Andalucia
We have a couple of villas hidden away in this tranquil area, a remote and beautiful natural park of avocado trees and sugar cane, hence the name which means ‘Honey River’. The nearest village is Maro. This tiny hamlet seems to have missed the main tourist spotlight and just has a couple of bars, mini-markets and a beach. From the main road here, there are narrow paths winding down to some often quiet little coves. Many of our properties are located in tranquil areas, accessed by driving along unsurfaced mountain roads. When you take in the stunning views from your villa it will make the journey entirely worthwhile.

"A wonderful location, a lovely villa although the lack of aircon did mean we didn't sleep much, this may be a problem for some people but we didn't really mind and got used to it. I already have recommended to several people and woul dhope to come again "

"Delightful villa, with tremendous views and a lovely mountain breeze. A real gem: especially for a keen birdwatcher and star gazer. Great nearby beaches - very quiet. Lovely and helpful representative. Highly recommended to anyone who likes to get away from it all, but still wants to pop into Nerja. "

"This is the second time i have been with James Villas and would use you again no problem. "
Mrs Habergham, Hull, August 2008
"Tranquilla was superb - great location/views, very peaceful, very clean and the owner very friendly. It was very near perfect. Would just have liked more shade on the veranda outside the villa for the heat of the day, more sockets in bedrooms as in two rooms we couldn't plug in bug plugs as well as the bedside lamps. We know that tea pots are very English things and wouldn't expect the Spanish owner to provide one, but ever thought of equipping your villas with a James Villa teapot? We do miss a tea pot when we are away. Sad of us, I know. "

"An excellent villa in a stunning location and as tranquil as its name suggests - but expect the outdoor unheated pool to be cold in April! "
